'Companions' in the Bible

You love righteousness and hate wickedness;therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of joymore than your companions.

In colorful garments she is led to the king;after her, the virgins, her companions, are brought to you.

Tell me, you, the one I love:Where do you pasture your sheep?Where do you let them rest at noon?Why should I be like one who veils herselfbeside the flocks of your companions?

M You who dwell in the gardens—companions are listening for your voice—let me hear you!
