'Contempt' in the Bible

Let lying lips be quieted;they speak arrogantly against the righteouswith pride and contempt.

He pours contempt on noblesand makes them wander in a trackless wasteland.

Take insult and contempt away from me,for I have kept Your decrees.

Show us favor, Lord, show us favor,for we’ve had more than enough contempt.
