'Cutoff' in the Bible

May the Lord cut off all flattering lipsand the tongue that speaks boastfully.

In my alarm I had said,“I am cut off from Your sight.”But You heard the sound of my pleadingwhen I cried to You for help.

“I will cut off all the horns of the wicked,but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.”

abandoned among the dead.I am like the slain lying in the grave,whom You no longer remember,and who are cut off from Your care.

Let the line of his descendants be cut off;let their name be blotted out in the next generation.

Let their sins always remain before the Lord,and let Him erase all memory of them from the earth.
