'Device' in the Bible

“Do not grant, O Lord, the desires of the wicked;Do not further their evil device, that they not be exalted. Selah.

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead) where you are going.

‘There is no one to plead your cause;No [device to close and allow the] healing of your wound,No recovery for you.
