'Devise' in the Bible

Let them be put to shame and confounded that seek after my life; let them be turned backward and brought to confusion that devise my hurt:

For they speak not peace; and they devise deceitful words against the quiet in the land.

All that hate me whisper together against me; against me do they devise my hurt.

They devise iniquities: We have it ready, the plan is diligently sought out. And each one's inward thought and heart is deep.

Who devise mischiefs in their heart; every day are they banded together for war.

Keep me, O Jehovah, from the hands of the wicked man, preserve me from the violent man, who devise to overthrow my steps.
