who hast said by the mouth of thy servant David, Why have the nations raged haughtily and the peoples meditated vain things?
For they intended evil against thee; they imagined a mischievous device, which they could not execute.
For they have consulted together with one heart: they have made an alliance together against thee.
I have indeed trained, I have strengthened their arms, but they imagine mischief against me.
Out of thee is gone forth one that imagineth evil against Jehovah, a wicked counsellor.
Then went the Pharisees and held a council how they might ensnare him in speaking.
But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
Should we give, or should we not give? But he knowing their hypocrisy said unto them, Why tempt ye me? Bring me a denarius that I may see it.
And as they were eating he said, Verily I say to you, that one of you shall deliver me up.
