'Devour' in the Bible

“I will destroy her vines and fig trees,Of which she said, ‘These are my wagesWhich my lovers have given me.’And I will make them a forest,And the beasts of the field will devour them.

They have dealt treacherously against the Lord,For they have borne illegitimate children.Now the new moon will devour them with their land.

Strangers devour his strength,Yet he does not know it;Gray hairs also are sprinkled on him,Yet he does not know it.

I will encounter them like a bear robbed of her cubs,And I will tear open their chests;There I will also devour them like a lioness,As a wild beast would tear them.
