'Doing' in the Bible

“But now what are you doing on the road to Egypt,To drink the waters of the Nile?Or what are you doing on the road to Assyria,To drink the waters of the Euphrates?

Do you not see what they are doing in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

“Can the Ethiopian change his skinOr the leopard his spots?Then you also can do goodWho are accustomed to doing evil.

“But it will come about, if you listen attentively to Me,” declares the Lord, “to bring no load in through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but to keep the sabbath day holy by doing no work on it,

Indeed the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have been doing only evil in My sight from their youth; for the sons of Israel have been only provoking Me to anger by the work of their hands,” declares the Lord.

Now then thus says the Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, “Why are you doing great harm to yourselves, so as to cut off from you man and woman, child and infant, from among Judah, leaving yourselves without remnant,
