'Ewes' in the Bible
This twenty years have I been with thee; thy ewes and thy she goats have not cast their young, and the rams of thy flock have I not eaten.
Two hundred she goats, and twenty he goats, two hundred ewes, and twenty rams,
"Sir, you know that the children are frail," Jacob suggested, "and the ewes and cows with me are still nursing their young. If they're driven even for a day, the entire flock will die.
From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance.
“Your teeth are like a flock of newly shorn ewesWhich have come up from their washing,All of which bear twins,And not one among them has lost her young.
Your teeth are like a flock of ewescoming up from washing, each one having a twin, and not one missing.
Like a shepherd He will tend His flock,In His arm He will gather the lambsAnd carry them in His bosom; He will gently lead the nursing ewes.
