'Father' in the Bible

When they returned to their father Reuel, he asked, "Why have you returned so quickly today?"

The LORD is my strength and song, and he has become my salvation. This is my God and I'll praise him, the God of my father and I'll exalt him.

"Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.

"Whoever strikes his father or his mother is certainly to be put to death.

"Whoever curses his father or his mother is certainly to be put to death.

If her father absolutely refuses to give her to him, he is to pay an amount equal to the bride price for virgins.

You are to anoint them just as you anointed their father so they may serve me as priests. Their anointing is to qualify them to belong to a perpetual priesthood from generation to generation."
