'Fever' in the Bible
When Jesus went into Peter's house, he saw Peter's mother-in-law lying in bed, sick with a fever.
He touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then she got up and began serving him.
Now Simon's mother-in-law was lying in bed, sick with a fever, so they promptly told Jesus about her.
He went up to her, took her by the hand, and helped her up. The fever left her, and she began serving them.
Then Jesus got up to leave the synagogue and went into Simon's house. Now Simon's mother-in-law was sick with a high fever, so they asked Jesus about her.
He bent over her, rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began serving them.
So he asked them at what hour he had begun to recover, and they told him, "The fever left him yesterday at one o'clock in the afternoon."
The father of Publius happened to be sick in bed with fever and dysentery. Paul went to him, prayed, and healed him by placing his hands on him.
