'Gold' in the Bible

The first [river] is named Pishon; it flows around the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold.

The gold of that land is good; bdellium (a fragrant, valuable resin) and the onyx stone are found there.

Now Abram was extremely rich in livestock and in silver and in gold.

Please remember, the money which we found in the mouths of our sacks we have brought back to you from the land of Canaan. Is it likely then that we would steal silver or gold from your master’s house?
