'Greed' in the Bible
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence!
adulteries, greed, evil actions, deceit, promiscuity, stinginess, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness.
But the Lord said to him: “Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and evil.
He then told them, “Watch out and be on guard against all greed because one’s life is not in the abundance of his possessions.”
They are filled with all unrighteousness, evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, and malice. They are gossips,
But sexual immorality and any impurity or greed should not even be heard of among you, as is proper for saints.
Therefore, put to death what belongs to your worldly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.
They will exploit you in their greed with deceptive words. Their condemnation, pronounced long ago, is not idle, and their destruction does not sleep.
They have eyes full of adultery and are always looking for sin. They seduce unstable people and have hearts trained in greed. Children under a curse!
