'Inheritances' in the Bible

Your descendants are to be reckoned as yours, but are to be referred to among the names of their brothers in their respective inheritances.

but we won't return to our homes until every Israeli has taken possession of each of their inheritances,

But when they get married to one of the descendants of the tribes of Israel, their inheritances are to be withdrawn from our father's inheritance and added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they are to belong. Consequently, it is to be withdrawn from the portion of our inheritance.

"Now with respect to the priests' inheritances, I am to be their inheritance, and you are to give them no possession in Israel, since I am their possession.

Apportion it for their inheritances, distributing everything equally as if you were distributing things to your own brother, which is how I promised to give it to your ancestors. This way, the land will fall to you as an inheritance.
