'Loses' in the Bible
"You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its flavor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled on by people.
Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life because of me will find it.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and for the gospel will save it.
Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with each other."
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
For what does it benefit a person if he gains the whole world but loses or forfeits himself?
"Salt is good, but if salt loses its flavor, how can its flavor be restored?
"Which one of you, if he has a hundred sheep and loses one of them, would not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture and go look for the one that is lost until he finds it?
"Or what woman, if she has ten silver coins and loses one of them, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search thoroughly until she finds it?
Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will preserve it.
