Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, there is no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the gospel who will not receive in this age a hundred times as much -- homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, fields, all with persecutions -- and in the age to come, eternal life.
And Peter said, "Look, we have left everything we own to follow you!" Then Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, there is no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of God's kingdom who will not receive many times more in this age -- and in the age to come, eternal life."
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and for the gospel will save it.
Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will preserve it.
Whoever presents a thank-offering honors me. To whoever obeys my commands, I will reveal my power to deliver."
Give thanks to the Lord! Call on his name! Make known his accomplishments among the nations!
Neither should there be vulgar speech, foolish talk, or coarse jesting -- all of which are out of character -- but rather thanksgiving.
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice! Let everyone see your gentleness. The Lord is near! Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.read more.
And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
rooted and built up in him and firm in your faith just as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Let the peace of Christ be in control in your heart (for you were in fact called as one body to this peace), and be thankful.
So since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us give thanks, and through this let us offer worship pleasing to God in devotion and awe.
