'Mountains' in the Bible
Mountains tremble at the presence of the LORD even Sinai! at the presence of the LORD God of Israel.
Midian's control predominated throughout Israel, and because of Midian the Israelis went out to find temporary hiding places for themselves in the mountains, caves, and fortified places.

So he said, "Go!" He sent her away for two months. She left with her friends and cried there on the mountains because she would never marry.
