'Ordered' in the Bible
Saul ordered his armor bearer, "Draw your sword and run me through with it, or these uncircumcised people will come and abuse me."
The Philistines abandoned their gods there, so David ordered that their idols be incinerated.
So David did just as God had ordered, and they struck down the Philistine army from Gibeon to Gezer.
Then David ordered that the Ark of God was to be carried by no one except the descendants of Levi, because the LORD had chosen them to carry the ark of the LORD and to serve him forever.
David ordered Joab and the commanders of the army, "Go take a census of Israel from Beer-sheba to Dan, and bring me a report so I can be aware of the total number."
David told God, "Wasn't I the one who ordered the census of the population? Wasn't it I who sinned and acted wickedly? Now as for these sheep, what have they done? LORD God, please let your hand be against me and my ancestral household, but don't let your people be ravaged by plague!"
