'Pant' in the Bible

“I have kept silent for a long time,I have kept still and restrained Myself.Now like a woman in labor I will groan,I will both gasp and pant.

“The wild donkeys stand on the bare heights;They pant for air like jackals,Their eyes failFor there is no vegetation.

Even the beasts of the field pant for You;For the water brooks are dried upAnd fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness.

“These who pant after the very dust of the earth on the head of the helplessAlso turn aside the way of the humble;And a man and his father resort to the same girlIn order to profane My holy name.
