'Parched' in the Bible
Therefore My people go into exile for their lack of knowledge;And their honorable men are famished,And their multitude is parched with thirst.
The waters from the sea will dry up,And the river will be parched and dry.
Each will be like a refuge from the windAnd a shelter from the storm,Like streams of water in a dry country,Like the shade of a huge rock in a parched land.
“The afflicted and needy are seeking water, but there is none,And their tongue is parched with thirst;I, the Lord, will answer them Myself,As the God of Israel I will not forsake them.
For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot,And like a root out of parched ground;He has no stately form or majestyThat we should look upon Him,Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.
