'Parched' in the Bible
Therefore My people will go into exilebecause they lack knowledge;her dignitaries are starving,and her masses are parched with thirst.
The waters of the sea will dry up,and the river will be parched and dry.
The channels will stink;they will dwindle, and Egypt’s canals will be parched.Reed and rush will die.
And the bulrushes along the Nile, along the mouth of the Nile, will wither away. All the sown fields of the Nile will become parched, and they will be blown away; there will be nothing left.
Therefore, a curse devours the earth, and those who live on it suffer the punishment of their guilt. Therefore, the inhabitants of the earth are burned [under the curse of God’s wrath], and few people are left.
Each will be like a refuge from the windAnd a shelter from the storm,Like streams of water in a dry country,Like the shade of a huge rock in a parched land.
The land dries up and withers away; the forest of Lebanon shrivels up and decays. Sharon is like the desert; Bashan and Carmel are parched.
And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
The poor and the needy seek water, but there is none;their tongues are parched with thirst.I, Yahweh, will answer them;I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

The Lord will always lead you,satisfy you in a parched land,and strengthen your bones.You will be like a watered gardenand like a spring whose waters never run dry.
