'Paths' in the Bible

You put my feet in the stocksand stand watch over all my paths,setting a limit for the soles of my feet.

He has blocked my way so that I cannot pass through;He has veiled my paths with darkness.

The wicked are those who rebel against the light.They do not recognize its waysor stay on its paths.

He puts my feet in the stocks;He stands watch over all my paths.”

so you can lead it back to its border?Are you familiar with the paths to its home?

My steps are on Your paths;my feet have not slipped.

He renews my life;He leads me along the right pathsfor His name’s sake.

Make Your ways known to me, Lord;teach me Your paths.

Such are the paths of all who make profit dishonestly;it takes the lives of those who receive it.

so that He may guard the paths of justiceand protect the way of His loyal followers.

from those who abandon the right pathsto walk in ways of darkness,

whose paths are crooked,and whose ways are devious.

None return who go to her;none reach the paths of life.

So follow the way of good people,and keep to the paths of the righteous.

think about Him in all your ways,and He will guide you on the right paths.

Her ways are pleasant,and all her paths, peaceful.

I am teaching you the way of wisdom;I am guiding you on straight paths.

For a man’s ways are before the Lord’s eyes,and He considers all his paths.

Don’t let your heart turn aside to her ways;don’t stray onto her paths.

I walk in the way of righteousness,along the paths of justice,

calling to those who pass by,who go straight ahead on their paths:

and many peoples will come and say,“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,to the house of the God of Jacob.He will teach us about His waysso that we may walk in His paths.”For instruction will go out of Zionand the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Youths oppress My people,and women rule over them.My people, your leaders mislead you;they confuse the direction of your paths.

Who did He consult with?Who gave Him understandingand taught Him the paths of justice?Who taught Him knowledgeand showed Him the way of understanding?

I will lead the blind by a way they did not know;I will guide them on paths they have not known.I will turn darkness to light in front of themand rough places into level ground.This is what I will do for them,and I will not forsake them.

Their feet run after evil,and they rush to shed innocent blood.Their thoughts are sinful thoughts;ruin and wretchedness are in their paths.

This is what the Lord says:Stand by the roadways and look.Ask about the ancient paths:Which is the way to what is good?Then take itand find rest for yourselves.But they protested, “We won’t!”

Yet My people have forgotten Me.They burn incense to false idolsthat make them stumble in their wayson the ancient roadsand walk on new paths, not the highway.

Therefore, their way will be to themlike slippery paths in the gloom.They will be driven away and fall down there,for I will bring disaster on them,the year of their punishment.This is the Lord’s declaration.

He has walled in my ways with cut stones;He has made my paths crooked.

Therefore, this is what I will do:I will block her way with thorns;I will enclose her with a wall,so that she cannot find her paths.

and many nations will come and say,“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,to the house of the God of Jacob.He will teach us about His waysso we may walk in His paths.”For instruction will go out of Zionand the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

For he is the one spoken of through the prophet Isaiah, who said:A voice of one crying out in the wilderness:Prepare the way for the Lord;make His paths straight!

You have revealed the paths of life to me;You will fill me with gladnessin Your presence.

and said, “You son of the Devil, full of all deceit and all fraud, enemy of all righteousness! Won’t you ever stop perverting the straight paths of the Lord?

ruin and wretchedness are in their paths,

and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated but healed instead.
