'Payment' in the Bible

[who] also sealed us and gave the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.

Now the one who has prepared us for this very [thing] [is] God, who has given us the down payment, the Spirit.

Or did I commit a sin [by] humbling myself in order that you may be exalted, because I proclaimed the gospel of God to you without payment?

who is the down payment of our inheritance, until the redemption of the possession, to the praise of his glory.
