'Please' in the Bible
So Aaron said to Moses, "O my lord, please do not hold this sin against us, in which we have acted foolishly and have sinned!
Please forgive the iniquity of this people according to your great loyal love, just as you have forgiven this people from Egypt even until now."
Please let us pass through your country. We will not pass through the fields or through the vineyards, nor will we drink water from any well. We will go by the King's Highway; we will not turn to the right or the left until we have passed through your region.'"
So now, please come and curse this nation for me, for they are too powerful for me. Perhaps I will prevail so that we may conquer them and drive them out of the land. For I know that whoever you bless is blessed, and whoever you curse is cursed."
And they came to Balaam and said to him, "Thus says Balak son of Zippor: 'Please do not let anything hinder you from coming to me.
Now therefore, please stay the night here also, that I may know what more the Lord might say to me."
Balak said to him, "Please come with me to another place from which you can observe them. You will see only a part of them, but you will not see all of them. Curse them for me from there."
Balak said to Balaam, "Come, please; I will take you to another place. Perhaps it will please God to let you curse them for me from there."
