'Promise' in the Bible

Has His faithful love ceased forever?Is His promise at an end for all generations?

He remembers His covenant forever,the promise He ordainedfor a thousand generations—

For He remembered His holy promiseto Abraham His servant.

They despised the pleasant landand did not believe His promise.

This is my comfort in my affliction:Your promise has given me life.

I have sought Your favor with all my heart;be gracious to me according to Your promise.

My eyes grow weary looking for Your salvationand for Your righteous promise.

Make my steps steady through Your promise;don’t let any sin dominate me.

I am awake through each watch of the nightto meditate on Your promise.

I rejoice over Your promiselike one who finds vast treasure.

Let my plea reach You;rescue me according to Your promise.

My tongue sings about Your promise,for all Your commands are righteous.

The Lord swore an oath to David,a promise He will not abandon:“I will set one of your descendantson your throne.

I will bow down toward Your holy templeand give thanks to Your namefor Your constant love and truth.You have exalted Your nameand Your promise above everything else.
