'Reared' in the Bible

Listen, you heavens, and let the earth pay attention, because the LORD has spoken: "I reared children and brought them to adulthood, but then they rebelled against me.

Be ashamed, Sidon, because the sea has spoken, the fortress of the sea: I have neither been in labor nor given birth, I have neither reared young men nor brought up young women."

“Then you will say in your heart,‘Who has begotten these for me,Since I have been bereaved of my childrenAnd am barren, an exile and a wanderer?And who has reared these?Behold, I was left alone;From where did these come?’”

There is none to guide her among all the sons she has borne,Nor is there one to take her by the hand among all the sons she has reared.
