'Repented' in the Bible
No king before or after repented before the Lord as he did, with his whole heart, soul, and being in accordance with the whole law of Moses.
For this is what the master, the Lord, the Holy One of Israel says: "If you repented and patiently waited for me, you would be delivered; if you calmly trusted in me you would find strength, but you are unwilling.
For after we turned away from you we repented. After we came to our senses we beat our breasts in sorrow. We are ashamed and humiliated because of the disgraceful things we did previously.'
