my strength was drained

“I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”

I was ashamed and humiliated

and turn back to the Lord.
But if a wicked person turns from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he will preserve his life. He will certainly live because he thought it over and turned from all the transgressions he had committed; he will not die.
Now, the Lord of Hosts says this: “Think carefully about your ways: You have planted much
but harvested little.
You eat
but never have enough to be satisfied.
You drink
but never have enough to become drunk.
You put on clothes
but never have enough to get warm.
The wage earner puts his wages
into a bag with a hole in it.” The Lord of Hosts says this: “Think carefully about your ways.
When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired hands have more than enough food, and here I am dying of hunger! I’ll get up, go to my father, and say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I’m no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired hands.’ read more.
So he got up and went to his father. But while the son was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. He ran, threw his arms around his neck, and kissed him. Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy way will be guilty of sin against the body and blood of the Lord. This is why many are sick and ill among you, and many have fallen asleep. If we were properly evaluating ourselves, we would not be judged,
since you seek proof of Christ speaking in me. He is not weak toward you, but powerful among you. In fact, He was crucified in weakness, but He lives by God’s power. For we also are weak in Him, yet toward you we will live with Him by God’s power. Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Or do you yourselves not recognize that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless you fail the test.
But each person should examine his own work, and then he will have a reason for boasting in himself alone, and not in respect to someone else.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
even if our conscience condemns us, that God is greater than our conscience, and He knows all things. Dear friends, if our conscience doesn’t condemn us, we have confidence before God
Hypocrite! First take the log out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
So a man should examine himself; in this way he should eat the bread and drink from the cup.
Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Or do you yourselves not recognize that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless you fail the test.
