'Requires' in the Bible

May my words I have made my petition with before the Lord be near the Lord our God day and night, so that He may uphold His servant’s cause and the cause of His people Israel, as each day requires,

When you come to appear before Me,who requires this from you—this trampling of My courts?

Mankind, He has told you what is goodand what it is the Lord requires of you:to act justly,to love faithfulness,and to walk humbly with your God.
