'Robbers' in the Bible
And He *said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’; but you are making it a robbers’ den.”
At that time two robbers *were crucified with Him, one on the right and one on the left.
The robbers who had been crucified with Him were also insulting Him with the same words.
And He began to teach and say to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a robbers’ den.”
They *crucified two robbers with Him, one on His right and one on His left.
Jesus replied and said, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, and they stripped him and beat him, and went away leaving him half dead.
Which of these three do you think proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell into the robbers’ hands?”
saying to them, “It is written, ‘And My house shall be a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a robbers’ den.”
All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
For you have brought these men here who are neither robbers of temples nor blasphemers of our goddess.
I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my countrymen, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers on the sea, dangers among false brethren;
