'Says' in the Bible

The vision of Obadiah.Thus says the Lord God concerning Edom—We have heard a report from the Lord,And an envoy has been sent among the nations saying,“Arise and let us go against her for battle”—

The Lord says, "Look! I will make you a weak nation; you will be greatly despised!

“The pride and arrogance of your heart have deceived you,You who live in the clefts and lofty security of the rock (Sela),Whose dwelling place is high,Who say [boastfully] in your heart,‘Who will bring me down to earth?’

Even if you were to soar high like an eagle, even if you were to make your nest among the stars, I can bring you down even from there!" says the Lord.

At that time," the Lord says, "I will destroy the wise sages of Edom! the advisers from Esau's mountain!
