'Shadow' in the Bible
“Give us advice, make a decision;Cast your shadow like night at high noon;Hide the outcasts, do not betray the fugitive.
Like heat in drought, You subdue the uproar of aliens;Like heat by the shadow of a cloud, the song of the ruthless is silenced.
Who proceed down to EgyptWithout consulting Me,To take refuge in the safety of PharaohAnd to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt!
“Therefore the safety of Pharaoh will be your shameAnd the shelter in the shadow of Egypt, your humiliation.
Behold, I will cause the shadow on the stairway, which has gone down with the sun on the stairway of Ahaz, to go back ten steps.” So the sun’s shadow went back ten steps on the stairway on which it had gone down.
