'Slave' in the Bible
Then she spoke to him with these words, “The Hebrew slave, whom you brought to us, came in to me to make sport of me;
Now when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spoke to him, saying, “This is what your slave did to me,” his anger burned.
So he said, “Now let it also be according to your words; he with whom it is found shall be my slave, and the rest of you shall be innocent.”
But he said, “Far be it from me to do this. The man in whose possession the cup has been found, he shall be my slave; but as for you, go up in peace to your father.”
Now, therefore, please let your servant remain instead of the lad a slave to my lord, and let the lad go up with his brothers.
“When he saw that a resting place was goodAnd that the land was pleasant,He bowed his shoulder to bear burdens,And became a slave at forced labor.
and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of the Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the slave girl who is behind the millstones; all the firstborn of the cattle as well.
but every man’s slave purchased with money, after you have circumcised him, then he may eat of it.
“If you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve for six years; but on the seventh he shall go out as a free man without payment.
But if the slave plainly says, ‘I love my master, my wife and my children; I will not go out as a free man,’
“If a man sells his daughter as a female slave, she is not to go free as the male slaves do.
“If a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod and he dies at his hand, he shall be punished.
“If a man strikes the eye of his male or female slave, and destroys it, he shall let him go free on account of his eye.
And if he knocks out a tooth of his male or female slave, he shall let him go free on account of his tooth.
If the ox gores a male or female slave, the owner shall give his or her master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned.
“Six days you are to do your work, but on the seventh day you shall cease from labor so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your female slave, as well as your stranger, may refresh themselves.
‘Now if a man lies carnally with a woman who is a slave acquired for another man, but who has in no way been redeemed nor given her freedom, there shall be punishment; they shall not, however, be put to death, because she was not free.
But if a priest buys a slave as his property with his money, that one may eat of it, and those who are born in his house may eat of his food.
For they are My servants whom I brought out from the land of Egypt; they are not to be sold in a slave sale.
You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out of there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to observe the sabbath day.

Do not slander a slave to his master,Or he will curse you and you will be found guilty.
Under a slave when he becomes king,And a fool when he is satisfied with food,
“Is Israel a slave? Or is he a homeborn servant?Why has he become a prey?
but he will say, ‘I am not a prophet; I am a tiller of the ground, for a man sold me as a slave in my youth.’
