And he said to him, "Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments." He said to him, "Which ones?" And Jesus said, "'You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness, honor your father and mother, and, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"

But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up, and said, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to charge them to keep the Law of Moses."

take these men and purify yourself along with them and pay their expenses, so that they may shave their heads. Thus all will know that there is nothing in what they have been told about you, but that you yourself live in observance of the law.

Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what counts.

But he said, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"

to keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.

But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves.
