'Straightforward' in the Bible

And they said, “The man asked us straightforward questions about ourselves and our relatives. He said, ‘Is your father still alive? Have you another brother?’ And we answered him accordingly. How could we possibly know that he would say, ‘Bring your brother down [here to Egypt]’?”

And Absalom saith unto him, 'See, thy matters are good and straightforward -- and there is none hearkening to thee from the king.'

“How painful are words of honesty.But what does your argument prove?

Thine eyes do look straightforward, And thine eyelids look straight before thee.

“They are all straightforward to him who understands,And right to those who find knowledge.
