'Stumbling' in the Bible
But at my stumbling they rejoiced and gathered themselves together;The smiters whom I did not know gathered together against me,They slandered me without ceasing.
For You have delivered my soul from death,Indeed my feet from stumbling,So that I may walk before GodIn the light of the living.
But as for me, my feet came close to stumbling,My steps had almost slipped.
For You have rescued my soul from death,My eyes from tears,My feet from stumbling.
Pride goes before destruction,And a haughty spirit before stumbling.
They will fling their silver into the streets and their gold will become an abhorrent thing; their silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord. They cannot satisfy their appetite nor can they fill their stomachs, for their iniquity has become an occasion of stumbling.
