'Third' in the Bible
From that time on Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests, and experts in the law, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.
They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised." And they became greatly distressed.
and will turn him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged severely and crucified. Yet on the third day, he will be raised."
The second did the same, and the third, down to the seventh.
So leaving them again, he went away and prayed for the third time, saying the same thing once more.
So give orders to secure the tomb until the third day. Otherwise his disciples may come and steal his body and say to the people, 'He has been raised from the dead,' and the last deception will be worse than the first."
