'Thousand' in the Bible
David again gathered all the chosen men in Israel, thirty thousand.
David captured from him one thousand and seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand {foot soldiers}. David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but {from them} he spared a hundred chariot horses.
When Aram of Damascus came to help Hadadezer, the king of Zobah, David killed twenty-two thousand men of Aram.

The army of Israel [was] defeated there before the servants of David, and the defeat there was great on that day: twenty thousand.

Then Yahweh sent a plague into Israel from the morning {until the agreed time}, and from the people from Dan to Beersheba, seventy thousand men died.
