'Three' in the Bible

Now Mary stayed with Elizabeth about three months and then went back home.

Then the Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. And Peter remembered the word from the Lord, and how he had told him, "Before a rooster crows today, you will deny me three times."

It was already about noon, and the whole land became dark until three in the afternoon
