'Tumult' in the Bible

He brought me up out of a horrible pit [of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay,And He set my feet upon a rock, steadying my footsteps and establishing my path.

Though its waters roar and foam,Though the mountains tremble at its roaring. Selah.

Who stills the roaring of the seas,The roaring of their waves,And the tumult of the peoples,

Do not forget the [clamoring] voices of Your adversaries,The uproar of those who rise against You, which ascends continually [to Your ears].

For behold, Your enemies are in tumult,And those who hate You have raised their heads [in hatred of You].
