'Watch' in the Bible

While Ephraim stands watch with my God, the prophet has snares set that will trap his ways, and hostility lodges in the Temple of his God.

And Jacob doth flee to the country of Aram, And Israel doth serve for a wife, Yea, for a wife he hath kept watch.

Therefore am I unto them as a lion; as a leopard will I watch by the way;

Ephraim, why should I have anything moreto do with idols?It is I who answer and watch over him.I am like a flourishing pine tree;your fruit comes from Me.
