'Watchtower' in the Bible
The Israelites secretly did what was not right against the Lord their God. They built high places in all their towns from watchtower to fortified city.
He defeated the Philistines as far as Gaza and its borders, from watchtower to fortified city.
And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.
He plowed its land and cleared it of stones. Then he planted it with the choicest vines, built a watchtower in the middle of it, and dug a wine vat in it; He expected it to produce good grapes, but it produced only wild ones."
Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.

For the palace will be forsaken,the busy city abandoned.The hill and the watchtower will becomebarren places forever,the joy of wild donkeys,and a pasture for flocks,
A watch-tower I have given thee, Among My people a fortress, And thou knowest, and hast tried their way.
While we exist -- consumed are our eyes for our vain help, In our watch-tower we have watched for a nation that saveth not.
And you, watchtower for the flock,fortified hill of Daughter Zion,the former rule will come to you,sovereignty will come to Daughter Jerusalem.
