'Wilderness' in the Bible
Let the desert and dry region be happy; let the wilderness rejoice and bloom like a lily!
Then the lame will leap like a deer, the mute tongue will shout for joy; for water will flow in the desert, streams in the wilderness.
A voice cries out, "In the wilderness clear a way for the Lord; construct in the desert a road for our God.
I will make cedars, acacias, myrtles, and olive trees grow in the wilderness; I will make evergreens, firs, and cypresses grow together in the desert.

Certainly the Lord will console Zion; he will console all her ruins. He will make her wilderness like Eden, her desert like the Garden of the Lord. Happiness and joy will be restored to her, thanksgiving and the sound of music.
