'Withdrew' in the Bible
Now when Jesus heard that John had been taken into custody, He withdrew into Galilee;
But Jesus, aware of this, withdrew from there. Many followed Him, and He healed them all,
Now when Jesus heard about John, He withdrew from there in a boat to a secluded place by Himself; and when the people heard of this, they followed Him on foot from the cities.
Jesus went away from there, and withdrew into the district of Tyre and Sidon.
Jesus withdrew to the sea with His disciples; and a great multitude from Galilee followed; and also from Judea,
When the apostles returned, they gave an account to Him of all that they had done. Taking them with Him, He withdrew by Himself to a city called Bethsaida.
And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and began to pray,
So Jesus, perceiving that they were intending to come and take Him by force to make Him king, withdrew again to the mountain by Himself alone.
As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him anymore.
But when some were becoming hardened and disobedient, speaking evil of the Way before the people, he withdrew from them and took away the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus.
