'The Twelve' in the Bible
All these were the twelve tribes of Israel. And this is what their father spoke to them, and blessed them; everyone according to his blessing he blessed them.
And Moses wrote all the Words of Jehovah, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar below the mountain and twelve pillars according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

And He sat down and called the Twelve and said to them, If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.
And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem. And Jesus went before them. And they were amazed, and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took the Twelve again and began to tell them what would happen to Him,
And Jesus entered into Jerusalem and into the temple. And when He had looked around on all things, the hour already being late, He went out to Bethany with the Twelve.
And Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, went to the chief priests in order to betray Him to them.
And in the evening He came with the Twelve.
And answering He said to them, It is one of the Twelve, the one dipping with Me in the dish.
And immediately, while He still spoke, Judas, being one of the Twelve, came, and with him a great crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
And it happened afterwards, He traveled in every city and village, proclaiming and announcing the gospel of the kingdom of God. And the Twelve were with Him,
But the day began to wear away, and coming up the Twelve said to Him, Send the crowd away so that they may go into the villages and farms all around, and lodge, and get food. For we are here in a deserted place.
And He took the Twelve and said to them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished.
And Satan entered into Judas, surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the Twelve.
And when the hour came, He and the twelve apostles with Him reclined.

But he spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon; for it was he who was about to betray Him, being one of the Twelve.
But Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came.
And the Twelve called near the multitude of the disciples and said, It is not pleasing to us, leaving the Word of God, to serve tables.
And He gave him the covenant of circumcision. And so Abraham fathered Isaac and circumcised him the eighth day. And Isaac fathered Jacob, and Jacob the twelve patriarchs.
and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the Twelve.
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes in the Dispersion, greeting:
And it had a great and high wall, with twelve gates. And on the gates were twelve angels, and having names inscribed, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel:
And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls. Respectively, each one of the gates was one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, as transparent glass.
