From them who forsake the paths of rectitude, to walk in this ways of darkness;

This is how you will walk in the way of good men and will keep to the paths of the righteous.

This will be healing for your body
and strengthening for your bones.

Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.

For this cause his downfall will be sudden; quickly he will be broken, and there will be no help for him.

I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.

For this cause, came I forth to meet thee, to seek diligently thy face, and I have found thee:

Be sure of this: the wicked will not go unpunished, but the descendants of the righteous will go free.

Wisdom is at rest in the mind of the discerning even fools know this.

Why is this -- a price in the hand of a fool to buy wisdom, And a heart there is none?

The one who gives an answer before he listens—
this is foolishness and disgrace for him.

"This is bad, bad," says whoever is buying but then he brags as he walks away after the sale.

Don’t say, “I will avenge this evil!”
Wait on the Lord, and He will rescue you.

It is a trap for a person to declare quickly, "This is sacred," and only later to have second thoughts about the vows.

The rich and the poor have this in common:
the Lord made them both.

That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee.

Lest thou learn this ways, And get a snare to thy soul.

If thou sayest, Behold, we knew not this; Doth not he that weigheth the hearts consider it? And he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? And shall not he render to every man according to his work?

When I saw this, I gave careful consideration to it; I received instruction from what I saw:

He who robs his father or his mother
And says, “This is no sin,”
Is [not only a thief but also] the companion of a man who destroys.

The poor and a man of oppression have [this] in common: Yahweh gives {light to the eyes of them both}.

A discourse by the faithful collector. This is what this valiant man declared to the God with me, to the God with me, who then prevailed:

This peoples' teeth are swords, and with their jawbones they consume and devour the simple of the earth, and the poor from among men.

This generation which is like a horse-leech, hath two daughters; the one is called "fetch hither," and the other "bring hither."

This is the way of an adulterous woman:
She eats and wipes her mouth
And says, “I have done no wrong.”
