And having taken counsel, they bought with them the field of the potter for a burying-ground for strangers.

The Pharisees followed Him and began to dispute with Him, asking Him for a sign in the sky, to make trial of Him.
Heaving a deep and troubled sigh, He said, "Why do the men of to-day ask for a sign? In solemn truth I tell you that no sign will be given to the men of to-day."
[So], He took hold of the blind man by his hand and brought him out of the village. When Jesus spit [and put His saliva] on his eyes [See 7:33 for a similar use of His saliva in healing] and placed His hands on him [for healing], He asked him, "Can you see anything?"
The man looked up, and said: "I see the people, for, as they walk about, they look to me like trees."
For what benefit is it for a person to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his life?
And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Because they knew He had said this parable against them, they were looking for a way to arrest Him, but they were afraid of the crowd. So they left Him and went away.
