This is the Lord’s declaration.

Of the sons of Asaph; Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the hands of Asaph, which prophesied according to the order of the king.

Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.

All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the king's order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.

Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under command of the king. They and their relatives who had been skillfully trained in singing to the LORD, numbered 288.

These divisions of the gatekeepers, under their leading men, had duties for ministering in the Lord’s temple, just as their brothers did.

And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; and whosoever had dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.

But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under: because the LORD had said he would increase Israel like to the stars of the heavens.

and under Ahithophel there was Benaiah's son Jehoiada and Abiathar. Joab served as commander of the king's army.

And see, there are the divisions of the priests and Levites for all the work of the house of God; and every trained and expert workman will be ready to do for you whatever is needed; and the captains and the people will be under your orders in everything.

And they with whom precious'stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of Jehovah, under the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

So Solomon was put on the seat of the Lord as king in place of his father David, and everything went well for him; and all Israel was under his authority.

and all the heads, and the mighty men, and also all the sons of king David have given a hand under Solomon the king;

To get trees for me in great numbers, for the house which I am building is to be great and a wonder.

And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims:

the Levites with all those that were under Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun, and among their children and brethren, were arrayed in bysse and sang with cymbals, psalteries, and harps standing East from the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests blowing trumpets.

And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD'S house.

And this house will become a mass of broken walls, and everyone who goes by will be overcome with wonder, and will say, Why has the Lord done so to this land and to this house?

And of Baalath, and all the store-towns which Solomon had, and the towns where he kept his war-carriages and his horse men, and everything which it was his pleasure to put up in Jerusalem and in Lebanon and in all the land under his rule.

And the food of his table, and the seating of his officials, and the attendance of his servants, and their apparel; his cupbearers also, and their apparel; and his entryway by which he went up into the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.

Your father put a hard yoke on us: if you will make the conditions under which your father kept us down less cruel, and the weight of the yoke he put on us less hard, then we will be your servants.

When all Israel saw that the king did not listen and pay attention to them, the people answered him,“What portion do we have in David?
We have no inheritance in the son of Jesse.
Every man to your tents, O Israel;
Now, [Rehoboam, descendant of] David, see to your own house.”
So all Israel went to their tents.

And he ordained in all cities shields and spears, and made them exceeding strong. And so Judah and Benjamin were under him.
