Behold me! threatening, on your account, the seed, and I will scatter refuse upon your faces, the refuse of your festivals, - and one shall carry you away unto it;

And -- praying -- ye may not use vain repetitions like the nations, for they think that in their much speaking they shall be heard,

so that your fasting will not be noticed by people, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees [what is done] in secret will reward you.

Ye may not give that which is holy to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before the swine, that they may not trample them among their feet, and having turned -- may rend you.

Or what man is of you, of whom, if his son may ask a loaf -- a stone will he present to him?

and if a fish he may ask -- a serpent will he present to him?

Ye may know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

So then ye may know them by their fruits.

And Jesus says to him, See that you may tell no one; but go, show thyself to the priest, and offer the gift which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
