I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, because he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service.

Even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor, I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief;

For to this end we labor and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.

thus bringing condemnation, because they have set aside their first pledge.

Those who have believing masters must not be disrespectful to them because they are brethren, but they must serve them all the better, because those who benefit by their service are believers and beloved. Teach and urge these duties.
